The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) technology with ethnoscience in physics learning media presents a promising approach to enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an AR-based physics learning media integrated with ethnoscience on magnetic force materials for senior high school students. The research adopted a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The developed media incorporates local cultural knowledge and practices related to magnetic phenomena, enabling students to connect scientific concepts with their cultural heritage. Validation was conducted by media experts, content experts, and practitioners, yielding average validity scores of 88.6%, 91.2%, and 86.4%, respectively, all categorized as "very valid." A quasi-experimental design involving 64 students from two classes was employed to assess learning effectiveness. Results indicated a statistically significant improvement in student learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group (t = 4.82, p < 0.05), with an N-gain score of 0.67 (moderate category). Student responses demonstrated high engagement and positive attitudes toward the AR-integrated ethnoscience approach. The study concludes that the developed media effectively supports physics learning and promotes cultural awareness among students.
